PEHEL Health Association (also known as PEHEL) is currently working in 7 states and 1 union territory of India, to bring immediate and lasting change in rural areas. As PEHEL Health Association, we have provided the benefits of government health schemes to rural people, provided the right to education to the poor and economically backward people and made women living in panchayats and villages entrepreneurs. In 2022 our first office was set up in Itarsi District Narmadapuram and we provided free education classes. In 2023 we started PEHEL Talent Scholarship Examination projects across the country on pre-school programs, education and in 2024 we deepened our work on education and child protection. We are formally registered as PEHEL Health Association (PHA) under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Since 2022, as PEHEL Health Association we have directly reached more than 8000+ children, more than 50 percent of which are girls. We are working on issues of education, health, nutrition and WASH, child protection, child poverty, humanitarian response as well as climate change and disaster risk reduction.
